In this case the owner of the property needn’t be involved in all of the day to day responsibilities. It allows an investor to focus his attention of finding and capitalizing on good investment opportunities rather than getting bogged down with many cumbersome tasks and roles.

For those investors who purchase property they don’t intend to live in or maintain, effective real estate property management is essential. We’ll talk more about this and review some further details.

Real estate property management involves many different tasks and strategies. Common tasks can include the following:

  1. Property maintenance and upkeep. This can include painting, lawn mowing, snow plowing (if applicable), garbage removal and other important grounds keeping and maintenance activities.
  2. Collection and management of rent. The income from rental payments is a vital part of helping to pay for the cost of the property and provide an income for its owners, managers and employees related to it.
  3. Advertising for residents and marketing of the property
